Johann Peter Eckermann (1825)

Profile portrait of Johann Peter Eckermann (1792-1854), a writer and close associate of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. Towards the end of Goethe's life, Eckermann documented his approach to literature in a series of talks later published as Conversations with Eckermann.
