Lessons in Racial Politics at a Hitler Youth Leadership School (c. 1935)
During the Nazi regime, school instruction focused primarily on the political indoctrination and physical education of youth. National Socialist elite schools concentrated on communicating the National Socialist worldview and the racial theories that accompanied it. This photograph shows Helmut Stellrecht (left), regional leader of the Hitler Youth, giving a lecture on racial politics at a Hitler Youth Leadership School. Alfred Rosenberg is seated closest to him. Rosenberg partially obscures one of two posters featuring positive examples of members of the German race. Photo by Heinrich Hoffmann.
