The TV Show "Der Beat Club" (1967)
During the 1960s, beat music and rock 'n' roll, once the rallying point of a youthful minority, became part of a commercially-mediated West German mass culture that increasingly infiltrated all forms of mainstream media. “Der Beat Club,” moderated by British DJ Dave Lee Travis and Uschi Nerke, was one of the most popular youth shows of the 1960s.
