Heinrich Böll at a Peace Demonstration in Bonn (October 10, 1981) This photographer shows the writer and Nobel Prize laureate Heinrich Böll addressing a crowd at the largest peace rally in the Federal Republic up to that point. Böll supported the peace movement, which took a stand against the deployment of new arms by NATO forces. Böll also participated in a 1983 sit-in at the American missile base at Mutlangen.
