Wilhelm Emmanuel von Ketteler (c. 1865) Wilhelm Emmanuel von Ketteler (1811-1877), Catholic Bishop of Mainz, social reformer and politician. Ketteler adopted both conservative criticism of occupational freedom and socialist economic theories.
