The National Memorial and the Eosander Gate (1947)

The National Memorial to Kaiser Wilhelm I from 1897 and the Eosander Gate of the burned-out City Palace. Modeled on the Severus Gate in Rome, the Eosander Gate was constructed by J. F. Eosander von Göthe (1669-1728) at the beginning of the 18th century and served as the main entrance on the west side of the palace.
