Captured Munitions (March 1918)

Enormous amounts of munitions were used during the First World War. This photograph shows British munitions captured by German soldiers near Abigny in France during the initial phases of the “Ludendorff Offensive” in the spring of 1918; it was the last large-scale offensive by German troops.
