The TV Show "Der Beat Club" (1967)
During the 1960s, beat music and rock 'n' roll, once the rallying point of a youthful minority, became part of a commercially-mediated West German mass culture that increasingly infiltrated all forms of mainstream media. ā€œDer Beat Club,ā€ moderated by British DJ Dave Lee Travis and Uschi Nerke, was one of the most popular youth shows of the 1960s.
