Arrival of Mecklenburg Artillery in Leipzig (June 1866)
The Grand Duchies of Mecklenburg-Schwerin and Mecklenburg-Strelitz fought on the Prussian side in the Austro-Prussian War of 1866. Their troops passed through the Kingdom of Saxony on their way to the battlefields of Bohemia. This woodcut shows the arrival of Mecklenburg troops and artillery at the Magdeburg train station in Leipzig.
