Arrival of Mecklenburg Artillery in Leipzig (June 1866) The Grand Duchies of Mecklenburg-Schwerin and Mecklenburg-Strelitz fought on the Prussian side in the Austro-Prussian War of 1866. Their troops passed through the Kingdom of Saxony on their way to the battlefields of Bohemia.
